FMX wild child Kyle Loza won an unprecedented second consecutive Gold Medal for Moto X Best Trick at the X Games in LA on July 31, 2008. The Riders 4 Christ superstar is headlining Portland CityFest on August 22-23, 2008, and will hopefully be bringing the winning trick - his own “Electric Doom” - to the Livin It action sports demos.
In front of a packed Staples Center crowd and a worldwide live TV audience, Kyle stuck the trick that he’s been practicing in the back lot of his church in SoCal since his “Volt” stunt won it all for him in 2007. His first and only run was enough to nail the title and X Games history despite a landing that almost buried him in a tunnel next to the moto X ramps.
When asked how it felt to be the first rider in history to win back-to-back golds in X games Best Trick, Kyle was his usual wordy self. “Cool,” he said.
In addition to his two gold accolades, he also won silver at the inaugural X Games Mexico in September, 2007. He’s the founder and a team leader of Riders 4 Christ - all born again Christian freestyle motocross riders - who work to spread the message of Jesus Christ through their sport at FMX events all over the world.
As well as being a professional dirtbike competitor, Kyle is an amateur tattoo artist and fronts an Orange County rock band aptly called, “Paint Yourself Pretty.”
He’s number 1 in the world and he’s coming to Portland for CityFest. Can you beat FREE admission? Nope. See you in Portland, Oregon, on August 22-23!
